Other Ways to Give

Orcas Island Community Foundation can assist you in meeting your philanthropic goals in a number of other ways.

Non-cash giving: under certain circumstances OICF will accept valuable property such as real estate, appreciated stocks, or valuable personal property (artwork, etc.). The Board of Trustees must approve in advance all offers of such gifts. If accepted, the gift will be sold and the proceeds invested through regular channels.

Life Insurance: you can name OICF as beneficiary of a policy’s proceeds.

Your Will: you can name OICF or any of its funds in your will. If you have a will, you can easily add an amendment providing for a bequest to OICF. If you don’t have a current will, now is the time to have one prepared.

Directly to Organizations: if you want to help your favorite organizations with their current needs, please give directly to the organization. OICF can advise you on current needs within the community.
